About our name

The name Xcelic was chosen by the owner for two reasons: first the Hebrew Lexicon xlc and second a form of an acronym.

First about the Hebrew Lexicon xlc. In the biblical Hebrew language of the Old Testament the words were written with no vowels so you would see just the consonants such as xlc and during the speaking of the words vowels would be used. So by adding vowels to xlc the word became Xcelic. The meaning of the old testament Hebrew Lexicon is two fold:

1. To push forward or advance

2. To advance, prosper, make progress, succeed, be profitable

A. (Qal -  simplest form of verbal root)  To prosper

B. (Hiphil– the causative form)

· To make prosperous, bring to successful issue, cause to prosper

· To show or experience prosperity, prosper
